About Us

Directions to the shop are at the bottom of this page.

We rearranged the shop in January 2008 as part of our one-year celebration. Here's a glimpse of our new look:

Part of the new layout makes it seem like there are "rooms". This is the Westminster "room" where we house most of our Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler, Joel Dewberry, Carla Miller, and Phillip Jacobs collections.

This is just inside the front door. The rocker and dragonfly lamp warmly welcome you into the shop. We'll feature our "just arrived" items in this section of the shop. As you can tell, we're feeling the love for this Valentine's Day.

We traded our a full size bed for this day bed to open up the front of the shop. We'll feature information about classes, clubs, and events here.

One of our new additions is a bigger emphasis on wearables and embellishments.

This island is great for putting together fabric collections, for doing demonstrations, and for cutting fabric when we need an additional cutting space. Part of the color wall can be seen as well.

The spinning baskets are great for housing all of our clearance fat quarters.

This is one side of our Lakehouse, reproductions, and baby "room".

This is part of our color wall. The landscape quilt hanging above is a piece made by Catherine Hart.

This is our growing black and white collection.

Here is the pay counter with Moda's Loft 1800 collection.

Wow, we're six months old! Here are some updated pictures of the shop. We're quite full now and enjoying the variety of fabric, books, and patterns we are able to offer.

Below this point are earlier pictures of the shop. I wanted to keep the progress of our growth documented here for a while, so you can enjoy it with us.

Dragonfly Quilt Shop opened for business on January 9, 2007. Our shop occupies over 1700 square feet in a new retail shopping center. Here’s a peek at what we have to offer:

I have dubbed this our “big wall”, and it is filling up quickly with beautiful batiks, fun brights, and marvelous prints. Fat quarters are available for every bolt of fabric in the shop. My husband designed all the furniture and fixtures (he’s a cabinet designer by trade), and they are working very nicely. Almost everyone who comes in the shop compliments his work.

This hangs right by the front door and holds information about all our classes and clubs.

Here is our cutting table. Customers can sit and chat while we cut.
It's also a great place to plan a project.

This cabinet houses fabric from Westminster Fibers designed
by Kaffe Fasset, Phillip Jacobs, and Martha Negley.

Here is a view of the shop from the front looking at our pay counter.

Here is a view of the front of the shop. We have a great window that lets in lots of daylight.

This is the view from the front door. There is a lot of space to step back and take a good look at what is on each shelf. I really enjoy the openness of the shop. It is much more relaxing to browse when you don’t have to worry about bumping into things.

This is our book and pattern area. Feel free to sit down and read through our books and patterns. We want you to take your time to compare various publications and choose the one that is just right for you. We’ll also be happy to serve you a complimentary cup of coffee while you relax in our reading area.

This is a view of the shop from near the pay counter. You can see our notions wall in the back. We are constantly bringing in new items for you to try. Part of that is simply stocking up as a new shop. The other part comes from listening to your comments. If there is anything you need, please let us know. We’ll be glad to special order for you, or to bring in something new as part of our regular inventory.

The shop also features a classroom that comfortably holds 8-10 people for a hands on class and up to 15 for a lecture or demonstration class. Our classroom is available for your use anytime there is no other scheduled activity. It is a great place to layer your quilts, or to get away from life’s daily distractions so that you can focus on the project you are working on. Please give us a call if you would like to schedule time in our classroom.
